Art Competition
Together with Arts University Bournemouth (AUB), we are inviting students to produce a piece of art based on the theme, 'Who am I?'.

Our Art Competition is a brilliant opportunity for young artists to compete internationally and showcase their talent. The competition is open to all COBIS schools, including Applicant schools.

Judging Criteria

The competition judges will be scoring the entries according to the following criteria:

  • Imagination and originality
  • Overall impact of the finished piece
  • Technical challenges and use of material
  • Sticking to the brief: ‘Who am I?’

How to enter

Submissions are now open and will close at 23:59 (GMT) on Wednesday 16 November 2022.

Each school will be able to submit up to two entries per category. Many schools choose to run an internal competition to select these entries.

The categories are:

  • Early Years and Foundation Stage + Key Stage 1
  • Key Stage 2
  • Key Stage 3
  • Key Stage 4
  • Key Stage 5*

Entries should be created by an individual student, not a group of students.

*Please note, we have introduced a Key Stage 5 category to allow older students to take part.

Entries must be submitted by school staff on behalf of their students. Submissions should be made on this page on the Zealous website.  You will be required to set up an account with Zealous to submit your entries. This is a quick and easy process.

Winners and prizes

The winners will be announced on our website and social media channels in January 2023. The winning entries will be published on our website and may feature at our Annual Conference in May 2023.

A certificate and prize will be awarded to the winner and runner-up of each category.

Winner: £50 Amazon voucher plus an AUB tote bag with art materials*
Runner-up: £25 Amazon voucher plus an AUB tote bag and sketch book*

*AUB will offer an alternative prize if shipping is not feasible. The KS4 and KS5 winners and runners-up will also win an AUB creative workshop or webinar for their whole class (topics to be arranged).
